Job Overview

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed.  Responsible for serving food and beverage with friendly, individualized attention focusing on the company core values.  Works as a team to execute events that provide excellent customer service and an amazing guest experience. 

Experience
 
1 year experience as a server is preferred.
Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands.
A working knowledge of the practices and procedures of safe food handling.
Excellent customer service skills.
Friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to operate catering vehicles.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 
Maintain the highest quality and consistent customer service.
 
Follow all company procedures.
 
Responds proactively to customer complaints.
 
Maintains professionalism and is friendly and approachable towards guests and staff.
 
Reports directly to the General Manager. 
 
Loads and delivers all items necessary to event.  Works with kitchen staff and sales team to insure proper food presentation and room set up. 

Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations.  Communicates with kitchen staff to know if any menu selections are unavailable.  
 
Directs customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selections, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific needs to kitchen staff. 
 
Maintain excellent dining experience for the guest by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils and refilling glasses.
 
Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisors. Cleans area after events, loads delivery vehicles and unloads items at the catering facility.

Obeys all traffic laws while driving delivery vehicles and properly cleans vehicles after events.  Reports all accidents to manager immediately. 
 
Greets all guests warmly and with an appropriate greeting. 
 
Adheres to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
 
Has some familiarity with cooking techniques and conveys information to guests accordingly. 
 
Reports safety hazards to manager on duty.  Reports all employee accidents to manager on duty.
 
Have knowledge of food safety policies and procedures. 
 
Maintain sense of urgency when on service floor. 
 
Maintain service areas and side works duties for overall productivity.
 
Complete all other duties as assigned.
 
 
Qualifications

Education: Entry level position.  1 year related experience preferred.
 
Language: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, vendors and co-workers.

Hours and Availability
Typical workweek: 20-40 hours
*May be more hours during high event seasons.
