Food Runner Position

Job Overview

  1. duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Responsible for running food from the expo to tables. Maintains a positive and friendly demeanor, assists with clearing tables as needed. Assists with service of beverages and cleaning of all public areas. 

Experience 

 

Experience as a busser or food runner is preferred.

Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands.

A working knowledge of the practices and procedures of safe food handling and safety practices.

Friendly demeanor and positive attitude.

Ability to work in a team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Run orders from the kitchen to tables.

Offer guests assistance and answer questions.

Ensure all orders are correct and dietary requests are honored.

Assist with setting and cleaning tables.

Maintain the highest quality of professionalism and sense of urgency while on the floor.

Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to managers as needed. 

Follow all company, safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager and complete safety training and certifications.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager or manager on duty.

Education: Entry level position. Some experience preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use their hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. 

 

Uniform Requirements:

Clean, non-slip shoes must be worn in kitchen area. Socks must be worn. Clean pants and shirts must be worn. All applicable food handling and safety requirements must be followed. No piercings allowed on the clock. 

 

Hours and Availability 

Typical workweek: 20-40 hours 

Hours vary depending on business demand.

Benefits and Pay

Employees are considered “full time status" if the employee consistently works over 30 hours per work week. Benefits are offered to all full time employees after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision and a free life insurance policy.

This position starts at $18/hr
