Job Overview

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed.  Responsible for supporting service staff in all aspects of service.  Stocks service areas, maintains adequate supplies, clears, cleans and resetting all tables.  Assists with service of beverages and cleaning of all public areas.    

Experience

 

Experience as a busser is preferred.

Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands.

A working knowledge of the practices and procedures of safe food handling and safety practices.

Friendly demeanor and positive attitude.

Ability to work in a team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Set and clean all tables.


Stock all service stations and assists food servers with table service.

 

Reset all serviceware as prescribed. 

 

Maintain the highest quality and consistent cleaniness of stations.

 

Transport all dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning. 

 

Check floor and clean as required.  Reset and arrange tabletops.

 

Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed. 

 

Communicate with server/hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.

 

Assist server as needed with food delivery if needed. 

Follow all company, safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager and complete safety training and certifications.

 

Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager or manager on duty.

Education: Entry level position.  Some experience preferred.

Uniform Requirements:

Clean, non-slip shoes must be worn in kitchen area.  Socks must be worn.  Clean pants and shirts must be worn.  Chef jackets provided.  All applicable food handling and safety requirements must be followed.  No piercings allowed on the clock.  No visible tattoos. 

 

Hours and Availability

Typical workweek: 20-40 hours

*May be more hours during high event seasons.

 

Hours vary depending on business demand.
