Production Cook Position
Job Overview
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Prepares and cooks food items in compliance with recipes focusing on the production of the highest quality while maintaining efficiency in the kitchen. Responsibilities include preparing food and helping execute events to include plating and/or buffet service, individualized attention focusing on the company core values. Works as a team to execute excellent customer service and an amazing guest experience.
Experience
1-2 years experience is preferred, but not required.
Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands.
A working knowledge of the practices and procedures of safe food handling.
Friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
Ability to work in a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with all recipes to provide consistent product.
Responsible for food production, aiding with execution of food service, and sanitation issues.
Clean and maintain work area throughout shift.
Prepares adequate quantities for business volume and prep list requirements.
Maintains the highest kitchen safety policies and procedures.
Maintains professionalism and is friendly and approachable towards staff.
Maintain sense of urgency in kitchen, working quickly and efficiently.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: This is an entry culinary level position. 1-2 years related experience preferred, but not required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively communicate with both front and back of the house staff
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply basic arithmetic to common food service applications: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to be adaptable to sudden changes in production plans, scheduling, and resource allocation, and adept at service recovery.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
ServSafe certification preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job functions are performed primarily in a clean, ventilated, well-lighted temperature controlled environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hours and Availability
Typical workweek: 0-25 hours for hourly positions
*May be more hours during high event seasons.
Hours vary depending on business demand.
Benefits and Pay
This position is considered a part-time position. Hours may be closer to full time during peak busy season. Employees are considered “full time status" if the employee consistently works over 30 hours per work week. Benefits are offered to all full time employees after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision and a free life insurance policy.
This position starts at $16-$18/hr
