Job Overview

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention focusing on the company core values. Provides excellent customer service while education customers on our premium products.

Experience

 

2 years progressive experience as a barista is preferred.

Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands.

A working knowledge of the practices and procedures of safe food handling.

Working knowledge of point of sale system preferred.

Excellent customer service skills.

Friendly demeanor and positive attitude.

Ability to work in a team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Ensure that all customers are educated on our products and services.

 

Must have working knowledge of coffee equipment and ability to provide customers with quality product.

 

Maintain the highest quality and consistent product standards.

 

Follow all company recipes and procedures.

 

Responds proactively to customer complaints.

 

Accurately rings in sales on point of sale system, including the handling of customer’s payment.

 

Answers telephone in friendly, courteous manner. Answers customer’s questions and receives and fills customers order as requested.

 

Restocks shelves when necessary.

 

Routinely cleans the deli area, floor, windows and other food prep areas as needed. Takes out trash as needed.

 

Reports safety hazards to manager on duty. Reports all employee accidents to manager on duty.

 

Maintains positive attitude and professionalism at all times.

 

Other duties assigned as needed.

 

Qualifications

Education: Entry level position. 2 years related experience preferred.

 

Language: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, vendors and co-workers.

 

Computer skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to learn new point of sale systems.
